When you have SKSE installed, you'll need to run the game using the SKSE.exe that you copied into the game's folder, not the original Skyrim.exe. It'll do most of the work for you when you install more mods. If you're new to modding, download something like Vortex from the Nexus website. If you've already installed a bunch of mods, it might be easier to just start over with a fresh install. Just make sure you're using the correct version of SKSE. pex files (not the Source folder) and paste them into the corresponding Data\Scripts folder of your Skyrim game folder. Then, inside the Data folder in your SKSE folder that you just downloaded, click and open the Scripts folder.
